<div><strong>I’m currently facing an overwhelming and unexpected legal situation</strong> that has placed a significant emotional and financial strain on me. While I’m choosing to keep the details private for personal and safety reasons, I’ve had to retain legal counsel to protect myself, and the legal fees have already reached nearly $19,000—with more to come as the case continues.

<div>But legal costs are only part of the burden. I had already established myself here in California after moving from Dallas, but due to the nature of this situation, I’ve had to reestablish my home and life all over again. That has come with a wave of additional expenses—rent, basic needs, and creating a safe, stable environment to begin again.

<div>This situation has also kept me from being able to visit home and see my dad, something I’ve been needing both emotionally and mentally. The financial strain has made even short travel impossible, despite how much I’ve needed that connection and grounding.

<div>On top of everything, I’ve started therapy to begin healing from the emotional trauma tied to what I’ve been through. It’s been crucial for my mental health, but it’s also another financial responsibility I’m managing alone.
