My beloved mother passed away on New Year's Eve day. I am her only child and served as her primary caregiver. As a result, I have been underemployed and struggling to get by for the past several months. My savings has been gradually depleted, and because of her death, all income into the house has stopped (her Social Security and my paycheck as her caregiver.) I currently have $37.06 in my bank account.

As a single parent, my mother worked hard and struggled to provide for us, and there was no extra money at the end of the month for life insurance payments or savings. And her small IRA retirement fund was exhausted during some particularly lean times many years ago. So, as much as it hurts my pride to do it, I'm asking for help to pay her cremation expenses, because I can't do it on my own right now. In return, I give my word to pay it forward once I'm back to work and on my feet again.
