Support Needed for Beloved Cat's Medical Journey
I have been dealing with extreme mental health issues for the last two years, mainly due to my cat's health and nutrition. This world is so different than it used to be. Nothing is black and white anymore. You need to be a scientist to figure out what your pets should eat.
My cat is the love of my life and means everything to me. She was dropped at our doorstep when she was just a few months old as a stray kitten. She was the sweetest thing ever. We quickly formed a bond that would never be broken. At age 3, she developed a severe kidney infection and I did everything to make sure she was taken care of. I almost lost my girl. Thank God, with prayer and a wonderful vet and treatment plan, she was cured after 4 months.
Fast forward 10 years later. Now aged 13, we are facing another painful battle. It started a year ago. My girl wasn’t acting right so I took her back and forth to the vet. Found out she had a urinary tract infection so we got her treated for that. She still wasn’t herself. I noticed at the end of last year she was having a hard time chewing so we decided in February 2024 we would get her a dental. She had to have 2 teeth removed. $2,500 later, she still wasn’t acting normal. She was showing signs of what we thought was diabetes. The vet ran more tests and decided she didn’t have diabetes.
I needed to know what was wrong with her so I took her to another vet and they diagnosed her with hyperthyroidism. We just received this diagnosis on 6/27/24. Another $1,600 later. I want to be able to afford more treatments and medical bills in the future for her and right now we are tapped. There is a cure but it costs $2,800. Please, if anyone can help us, we would truly be thankful and forever grateful. I can’t lose her, she is my world. Thank you.
