Navigating End-Stage Liver Failure & Transplant Journey
Dear friends and family,
We're reaching out again with an update on our courageous Beau. As many of you know, he's been fighting end-stage 4 liver failure. While he has shown remarkable resilience, the past couple months have been particularly difficult, and he now requires more constant care.
To ensure Beau has the support he needs, his devoted partner has taken an unpaid leave of absence from work. This means they are now living off their savings and Beau's modest SSDI check, which is simply not enough to cover the escalating costs of his care and daily living expenses.
The urgency of his situation was highlighted this past weekend. Beau was admitted to the hospital on Friday, July 18th, suffering from a fever, confusion, falls, and other concerning health issues. He was just discharged yesterday, July 22nd, and is now at home, trying to regain his strength.
This week is critical. Beau has two full days of non-stop appointments at the Mayo Clinic this Thursday and Friday. These appointments are vital for a comprehensive reassessment of his liver function and to plan the crucial next steps towards ensuring he is healthy enough for a liver transplant.
Your incredible generosity in the past has already provided so much relief and truly helped Beau through these difficult times. He is profoundly grateful for every donation and message of encouragement. Now, more than ever, we need your support to help them navigate this incredibly challenging period.
Every donation, big or small, will directly help with medical expenses, living costs, and ensuring Beau has the care he needs as he prepares for a potential transplant. If financial support isn't possible, please consider sending a message of encouragement to Beau – it truly brightens his spirits. We also ask for your prayers, as our faith in God sustains us through this immense hurdle.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with Beau and our family.
Warmly,
Beau’s Family
