Support Needed for Akiko Kiryu’s Funeral

Donation protected
Our much loved friend, Akiko Kiryu has passed away on 9th October.

She has been living in Manly for a long time and was loved by both local Manly community and Japanese community in Sydney.

She doesn’t have family here, so us group of friends are organising a funeral at North Ryde and her ashes will be sent to Japan from Sydney.

We plan to livestream the funeral for her loved ones in Japan and those unable to come to the funeral due to COVID restrictions.

Please kindly support us with the costs of her funeral.

If the support goes over  $5742, the overage will be sent to her grieving family.

Thank you so much,

-Akiko’s friends in Northern Beaches.

- Who we are

We are Akiko’s friends in the Northern Beaches in Sydney Australia. I have been authorised by Akiko's family to raise money on their behalf.

- How the Fund will be spent

The fund will be spent to cover for the funeral arrangement in Australia and any overage will be sent to Akiko's family in Japan.

- Our plan for ensuring your fundraiser's donations reach their intended recipient(s):

On behalf of her friends in Northern Beaches, I (Tony Fry) have been authorised by Akiko’s family in Japan to withdraw the fund on their behalf,  so that we can pay for the funeral expense in Australia (itemised funeral invoice will be sent to GoFundMe as a record),
and we will send the remaining balance to instructed account by Akiko’s family in Japan.
