Hi friends and family, I'm asking for any financial help during this time. While I was in Florida helping my dad recover from back surgery, my apartment flooded with backed-up sewage. The sewage pump broke, and all sewage from the property came up through my toilet since it had nowhere else to go, covering about a quarter inch all throughout my apartment. It was very fun to discover as I got home from a 10-hour travel day back from Florida. Everything on the floor has been ruined from the sewage flood. One incredible thing I learned from this experience is to make sure you have renter's insurance. I unfortunately do not, and I'm learning a hard lesson right now (yay 20s). Any little bit can help. Theo (my cat) update - He is fine. He was traveling with me from Florida, so we were together the whole time. He has been a very good boy throughout this process.
