<div>I am raising money for my daughter Nava. When I was 32 weeks pregnant with her, they found a hemorrhaging tumor on her brain while she was still in utero via an unscheduled requested ultrasound in the ER. At 37 weeks, she came into this world fighting via a scheduled C-Section. At 4 days old, 1 day after her first Christmas, she had her first major brain tumor resection surgery, where it was confirmed and she was diagnosed with a malignant high grade glioma tumor which took up 1/3 of her brain. They were not able to get it all, and she was revived 10 times with blood transfusions among other life saving measures. By a miracle of God, she survived. But her suffering was far from over, she proceeded to live in the hospital 90% of the time for the first 6 months of her life, with 4 brain surgeries to follow, seizures, months of triple chemotherapy infusions, broviac line blood transfusions, EKG’s CT Scans, MRI scans, pills, medications, hearing tests to monitor for hearing loss from the chemotherapy…Endless nausea, vomiting, sleepless nights, fighting… so much fighting. UTI infections, sepsis, reoccurrent cardiac IV line infections which lead to a complete need for a removal of her life saving IV line placed surgically in her heart. As her mom, I had to give her shots every day for 2 weeks in her leg, every month just for her white blood cells to recover enough from the treatment she was getting just so it wouldn’t kill her. And so much more. Now she is 1 and 1/2 years old and she’s still fighting. By the miraculous work of God, she is still here and still alive. Still fighting. The reason I am raising money, is to help sponsor funds for her care. The medical bills, her daily and monthly care expenses, the reoccurrent and frequent time away from work to care for her and financial support during every hospitalization which happens more than any baby should ever endure. All of it, plus the fear of losing my job and losing our means for survival and her medical insurance. I am raising money to navigate the cost of this life threatening disease that has reaped havoc on our lives and hers. I have tried to find any and every which way to avoid asking for money, even feeling guilty for doing it because I fight with myself on whether I should be thankful that she’s still alive and deal with whatever financial consequences follow with gratitude. But the truth is… this disease is financially, emotionally, and physically crippling and it is not cowardice to finally admit when you need help. We are so blessed to still have her with us, uplifting us and charging our faith and hope every day against this disease. Every and any dollar counts and will go towards my baby girls livelihood in one way or another.
