Update:

Nate's surgery went well: they were able to fix the shoulder blade but were unable to work on the collarbone safely due to the broken neck. We are waiting for the neurosurgery team to assess the neck on Monday. Then Possibly having surgery to fix the collarbone early this week. Nate is waking up for longer periods of time. He still gets confused but also has more moments of clarity. Pt and ot are going to start today.

Nate is asking for any visitors to call me to see if he feels up to it or not.

Hello Family and Friends,

Nate Moore was involved in a motorcycle accident on June 26th, 2024. he was going west on Maryland Ave. and a car going east took a left turn cutting Nate off, Nate swerved to avoid hitting the vehicle and lost control of his bike. He is in the neuro-intensive care unit. he has severe injuries, 2 skull fractures, broken bones in his back, neck, shoulder, collarbone shoulder blade, and multiple ribs, and his face is fractured. he had bleeding in his brain in 4 spots, but through testing the bleeding is stable. Nate is scheduled for surgery today 6/28/2024 to fix his collarbone, shoulder, and shoulder blade. Nate does not have any health insurance and he and his wife just bought a house in December so now they have mortgage payments. his wife's Mom was just diagnosed with cancer in February and she had a stroke in March, and she is currently staying with Nate and his wife. This family has gone through a lot over the past few months. So please anything will help.
