Deja is raising funds for her fiancé Nate, a dedicated firefighter recruit, who suffered a heart attack while training last August. Since then, life has changed in an instant. 11 months later, now that he’s back home, Nate is still facing the physical and emotional toll of recovery along with mounting medical expenses, recovery costs, and insurance-related burdens. On top of that, they are in an ongoing legal battle with the city to secure the workers compensation support he should have, and he has been placed on unpaid leave during this already overwhelming time.

This fundraiser will help ease some of that pressure by covering immediate bills and ongoing treatment while Nate is unable to work. Every donation, no matter the size, will help provide stability as they fight for his health and his rights. If you are able, please consider supporting Nate and standing with them during this difficult chapter. Your kindness, generosity, and encouragement mean more than words can say.
