Natalie is a freshman at PHS.
About two weeks ago, Natalie's mom, Denise, took her to the doctor for some bumps on her arm where she was given antibiotics. At a follow-up appointment, they decided to do bloodwork that showed her kidney levels were way off, resulting in her being sent to the ER, then onto Children's Mercy in Kansas City.
Natalie has been diagnosed with Stage five kidney disease/kidney failure. Her kidneys only have 15% function. She is dialysis dependent. They are hoping to get her prepped for a machine that she can take home and use while she sleeps until she is able to get on the transplant list and a match is found.
Denise is, understandably, unable to work currently due to being with Natalie. She usually works 60+ hours per week, and it's not certain when she'll be able to come home and return to work. Her husband is laid off for the winter months, so things are stressful at the moment. Any amount of help is greatly appreciated and prayers are more than welcome!
