On the early morning hours between 6 and 7 am on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, my granddaughter and her boyfriend were traveling on the way back home, and they had a horrific, life-changing auto accident. They were both transported to Huntsville Hospital, both in ICU, while her boyfriend has some injuries.

My granddaughter is in critical condition and requires a lot more surgeries in the coming days and weeks are going to be brutal. My granddaughter Natalia’s mom recently was laid off from her job, and they have no income and no money to travel back and forth to Huntsville. My daughter and I will have to make several trips a day as my daughter’s youngest son is in kindergarten. We’ve always been a prideful family taking care of our own. However, this is one time we can’t manage on our own. I’m asking for any kind of help we can get. Even if it’s not money, prayers are always the most important. My daughter Amanda’s rent is due, and with this unseen tragedy occurring, she doesn’t have a way to pay her bills, or for groceries, or gas for us to be back and forth with my granddaughter. This is so hard for me to write; as I said, we are a prideful family and never have asked anyone for anything. I always manage to help my children and grandchildren; however, this time I can’t, and I’m at a loss. I’ve always thought I was strong, but let me tell you, I’ve learned very fast yesterday I am not built for this. My family is my life. Not to be sounding like a pity party, but the people that truly know us know us. I’m the one that, when someone has a need for their family or loved ones, I’m there until the end. I stay because I am a giver, and I love my friends. Right now, I’m trying to help my daughter and my granddaughter. Anything will help. Thank you all in advance.
