Hi, My name is Annie and I am a third year student Psychiatric Nurse in SETU Waterford. This summer as part of my placement block I have the opportunity to volunteer in Lourdes, as part of a pilgrimage dedicated to supporting those in need.

As a student psychiatric nurse, I am passionate about caring for others, especially the most vulnerable. This experience will allow me to offer my time, skills, and compassion to those I will be caring for. This trip is important to me because it combines my passion for nursing with wanting to help those in need in a deeply meaningful way. As a student psychiatric nurse, I have the privilege to care for people, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually as well. Lourdes is a place where many vulnerable individuals seek comfort, healing, and companionship, and this pilgrimage gives me the chance to be part of that support system.

However, to make this possible I have decided to fundraise to help cover the cost of travel, accommodation, and other expenses incurred associated with this volunteer trip.
