<div><strong>UPDATE 12/15/: <em>On Monday December 8, 2025 I was declared cancer-free after 9 months of grueling treatments that included 40 rounds of chemo &amp; 28 rounds of radiation treatments. I give all glory to God for my recovery! While I may be cancer-free now, I still have a ways to go before I am somewhat back to normal. I am still suffering from chemo/radiation side effects that include neuropathy &amp; extreme fatigue. These 25effects may continue for months, prohibiting me from going back to work anytime soon. </em> I<em>n addition, despite having Medicare we still have significant medical bills to pay after all of my treatments. <div><strong><em>﻿</em></strong>When I started my autobiographical blog my goal was to inspire others by sharing my current Cancer journey, plus it's therapeutic for me. If you have checked it out already, hopefully you are entertained by my story, but even more so inspired! My blog has been put on hold the past couple of months as extreme fatigue &amp; very unpleasant side effects have made it to difficult to continue it at this mind. It has been a grind battling this disease. Twelve rounds of chemo infusions in Boerne, Texas, which was an hour and a half round trip twice a month. Next came M-F radiation treatments plus continued chemo in San Antonio, a more than a 2 hour round trip. All of that totals 68 chemo/radiation treatments over 6 months. Very grueling considering the side effects which continues to linger. Needless to say all of yhs has created a huge financial strain for me &amp; D'Anna. Now, after the end of almost eight months of treatments, I will likely have to have 2 surgical, procedures with hospital stays in San Antonio, which would include an ileostomy that would require me to wear an ileostomy bag for 6 weeks Yep, this is a marathon battle. Though I am on Medicare (and Social Security) there are still many expenses not covered financially, already into the thousands.. My wife D'Anna is still working a 40 hour a week job, but it is impossible for me to work for the foreseeable future. Between the expenses associated with my treatments &amp; the expense of daily living, it is stretching us beyond our limits. I hate just asking for a handout, so I figured that I could offer something in return that you can enjoy by recounting my incredible, but improbable life story. If so, I would appreciate, if you feel led to do so, donating whatever amount you feel comfortable with to show you enjoy hearing about my crazy life!
