<div>In November 2024, I sustained an injury while on the job, which resulted in significant bruising to my leg and extensive vein damage. Consequently, the following Monday, I contracted COVID-19, and my health began to deteriorate. By the weekend, I found myself compelled to work in my role as Manager on Duty (MOD). On the subsequent Monday morning, I felt severely unwell. My husband returned home early from work and called for an ambulance.

<div>During the ambulance transport to the hospital, I was administered a fentanyl injection for pain relief due to extreme distress. Upon admission, I underwent an immediate CT scan, which revealed the presence of pulmonary emboli scattered throughout my lungs, pulmonary infarction, and deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in my pelvis. My hospitalization lasted for five days, during which I received high doses of Dilaudid, various pain medications, and a heparin drip. While in the hospital, I was required to begin injectable medications as a preliminary measure before transitioning to Coumadin.

<div>Throughout my leave of absence, my employer persistently pressured me to work from home and manage situations that I was not physically or mentally capable of handling. I was able to return to work in late January. However, during my leave, I experienced another emergency ambulance transport due to an adverse reaction to a herbal pain-relieving supplement. In March, I lost my job as a result of significant alterations to my contract and job duties imposed by the company. I was still under work restrictions, and as my Workers' Compensation claim was denied, I received no financial support during my leave of absence.

<div>Additionally, during my hospital stay, large nodules were discovered on my thyroid. I underwent a series of biopsies, all of which returned benign results. Given the size of the nodules, I am scheduled for surgery to remove both the nodules and my thyroid in June.

<div>I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia at the age of 27, a condition that has increasingly deteriorated my physical health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. I have been experiencing a prolonged flare-up for the past two months, rendering me unable to work. The number of medications prescribed for my daily functioning is substantial, and I find that flare-ups occur with increasing frequency.

<div>I have applied for disability; however, the approval process may take several months. In the interim, I am requesting $50,000 to cover basic needs, including food and medical-related expenses.
