<div>I’m aiming to raise funds to enable my Nana to have a habitable house after hurricane Melissa recently hit Jamaica, there is no roof on most of the house. The roof will enable her to begin to rebuild the interior of the house.

<div>I am fully aware my Nana is not the only person in Jamaica in need of monetary help.
</div>
<div>My Nana is an elderly, single lady in her 80’s and recently widowed. It is unlikely that in her lifetime she will be able to fully restore the house to its previous state. It’s been almost 4 weeks since hurricane Melissa left its devastating mark and there’s not been any help as yet for her area in the parish of Westmoreland.

<div>She is currently running a generator that is causing asthma related health issues; for this reason she is not able to run it constantly which means she has no source of power for her home. She does not feel safe. The house is now susceptible to further flooding with most of the roof gone or damaged and no functioning windows.
</div>

<div>Whilst the local community is pulling together other opportunists have stolen some solar panels from what little roof is left.
</div>
