<div>In 2022, I paid a company that promised to help me build and manage an automated e-commerce store that would allow me to earn a little extra. The results? Zero revenue, broken promises, and a long trail of ignored messages.

<div>The service never worked as advertised. The online store was suspended soon after setup, and the company’s support vanished over time. After over a year of chasing them down, I received a new agreement offering a partial refund — but only in monthly installments. Since then, I’ve only received one minuscule payment of my refund.

<div>I’ve done everything I can. I’ve saved every message, contract, receipt, and promise made. I’ve since learned that others went through the same thing — including someone I know personally. A government agency has even filed a lawsuit against this company for misleading practices nearly identical to what I experienced. That gave me hope.

<div>Now, I want to take action. But I can’t afford legal fees upfront—and as anyone who’s looked into it knows, attorneys are expensive. Especially after this loss left me relying on credit just to stay afloat. I paid the original fee using a combination of savings and credit, expecting to pay it back with the profits from the business—profits that never came.

<div>I’ve lost valuable time with friends and loved ones—missed out on moments, on opportunities, even simple things like going out or celebrating milestones—because every spare minute and dollar has gone into trying to fix this. I’ve taken on extra work, longer hours, and pushed my limits just to keep up with bills and pay off debt. It’s physically and mentally exhausting.

<div>I can’t afford to invest in my future right now—not in myself, not in my relationship, not in the life I was trying to build. And I know I’m not the only one who’s ever been left in a situation like this.
