<div>As many of you know, in 2020, I began pursuing my PhD in Clinical Marriage and Family Therapy at Eastern University. This journey is more than just an academic goal—it's a calling rooted in my desire to uplift, heal, and advocate for Black women, families, and underserved communities. As a first-generation doctoral student, I have faced this journey with determination, faith, and resilience. But right now, I’m facing a financial barrier that threatens to halt the progress I’ve worked so hard to make. I have a past due balance at Eastern that must be paid before I can register for future semesters (yes you pay the university to write). I’m also covering the cost of a dissertation writing coach and editor—resources that are essential to successfully completing this final and most critical stage of my doctoral program.
