On Saturday, May 17th, my aunt was pulled over on Highland St in Holliston, MA, for not coming to a full stop at the sign. The officer had let her go with a warning, but another officer pulled up and said they needed to take her to the police station. We live about 5 minutes away from the station. My aunt was all set to go, and my mom was on her way to pick her up. Within those few minutes of my aunt leaving the station, ICE agents grabbed her off the street and took her to Burlington. They shut off her phone, so my mom could no longer call or see her location. For about 2 hours, we had no clue where she was.
Times are tough right now, and my aunt is the main caretaker of my 79-year-old grandma, which is who I’m making this for. They have given me everything they could in this life and have only wanted the best for me. I’m not at a point in my life where I can take care of this all financially by myself, although I wish I could. This would go towards my grandma's rent and any legal expenses to get my aunt back home as soon as possible. She has lived here for 20 years, paying taxes, working hard, has 3 jobs that she does just about every day, and is the most selfless person you will ever meet. We hope to have her back home, and with your support, that’s a possibility.
