Hi my name is Connor and I am doing this for my girlfriend Lily who has Cerebral Palsey. She has been trying to get her primary education teaching degree since 2020, but during that time she’s been faced with many challenges and barriers due to traumatic events, bereavement, bullying and serious ablism from both students and the universities themselves. Last year her current university removed her from the course 3/4 through the year because she was “physically and mentally unfit” despite doctors and therapists disputing. Even though it was agreed that if Lily took a year off she would be welcomed back to complete her 2nd year and carry on to complete her degree.

But now the academic board has blocked her from going back and now her only chance to finally get her hard earned degree is by paying almost £4000 in tuition fees . We are hoping that we can raise awareness to discrimination in universities and the money to show them that she’s just as capable if not more than anyone else. So please, if you can help even just by sharing her story together we can prove all those who thinks she’s can’t do it wrong!
