Dear Friends and Community Members,
We are reaching out to share the story of Ms. Crystal, our dedicated cafeteria manager at DHS, who has been a pillar of strength and kindness to all. Despite facing numerous personal and health challenges, she continues to serve our students and staff with unwavering commitment and a warm smile.
Ms. Crystal’s Story:
In early 2024, Ms. Crystal was diagnosed with aggressive Renal Cell Carcinoma, leading to the removal of her left kidney. She underwent multiple chemotherapy treatments, each bringing debilitating side effects that made it difficult for her to perform daily tasks. Despite this, she persevered, ensuring that the cafeteria remained a welcoming place for our students.
The financial strain from medical bills and missed workdays has been overwhelming. Ms. Crystal has fallen behind on rent and struggles to provide for her two daughters, who depend solely on her. Her resilience is evident as she continues to work, even on days when her health is at its lowest, always prioritizing the well-being of her family and our school community.
How You Can Help:
We have established this GoFundMe campaign to support Ms. Crystal during this challenging time. Your generous contributions will assist with:
• Covering overdue rent payments to prevent the loss of her home.
• Managing mounting medical expenses not covered by insurance.
• Providing daily necessities for her daughters.
• Alleviating financial stress so she can focus on healing and spending quality time with her family.
Ms. Crystal’s Impact:
Ms. Crystal’s unwavering faith and positive spirit have been a source of inspiration for many. She finds solace in her work and the love she receives from students and teachers, which motivates her to keep going despite the hardships she faces. Her dedication to others, even while enduring personal struggles, exemplifies the true spirit of our community.
