The last few months have not been easy for our dear friend Monica Perez. As many of you may know, Monica is a big part of not only our Atown Diner family, but a family of her own. In the last few months Monica's sweet, baby girl Emarie has been in and out of doctors offices and the emergency room. It all started with a scare of a very high fever and a seizure in the middle of the night. Through many different tests and treatments they have finally diagnosed her with asthma. She has been on a steady schedule with her breathing treatments and always having her inhaler on hand. With medical bills starting to pile up, more awful news hit Monica and her family. Her long-term boyfriend, as well as Emaries dad, was just rushed to the hospital this week when he could barely stand on his own two feet anymore. Jose was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome. He is held up in the hospital down at Sierra Vista where a wonderful crew is slowly but surely working to gain his strength back to get him walking again. He has a long adventure ahead of him. Seeing as Jose will be put out of work for a while, Monica having to take time off of her full time job to be with her family at these desperate times, and medical bills piling up, absolutely anything can help this family during their time of need. Monica is a very hard worker with a very sweet soul and loves stronger than anyone I know. For anyone that can help this family out it would be greatly appreciated.
