Help Us Raise $10K for Youth Literacy & Leadership

$5K by Giving Tuesday • $5K by Year-End

The Murals of the Mind Project is on a mission to empower and transform the lives of young people through youth development that promotes creativity, critical thinking and leadership. Through our Literacy 360 Workshops Program (Lit 360), youth ages 7–17 and college-aged young people gain skills in:

College & Career Readiness

STEM Exploration

Life Skills & Financial Literacy

Cultural Exchange & Arts Integration

Leadership & Critical Thinking

Mentoring

Our goal is simple but powerful: raise $10,000 to expand Lit 360 and reach more youth in 2026. We’re taking on this challenge in two milestones:

$5,000 by Giving Tuesday (December 2) – fuel winter workshops beginning in January.

$10,000 by December 31 – sustain the program and expand access for more youth during summer break.

Over the past 10 years we've helped more than 4,000 young people reach their education goals.

Here's what some of our participants, partners and guest speakers have to say about their Lit 360 experience:

“…Your resume workshop was amazing, and those mock interviews have helped me so much in interviews.” Semir E., age 18

“I felt the workshop answered a lot of questions I had about my future.” Miguel B., age 17

“My daughter, Jercara …enjoyed and learned daily at this program.” Nya J., parent

“I enjoyed speaking at the You're Hired! Get Hired! speaker series and sharing my professional journey. I'd definitely recommend other professionals to speak for the series...” David Jamison, PhD, Associate Dean for Undergraduate Affairs, College of Engineering, Villanova University

“Our directors are consistently impressed…Each participant in the workshop comes away with a custom resume and cover letter, along with a wealth of resources for career and college. They also come away with a tireless mentor…” Rachel Loeper, Director of Operations and Impact, Mighty Writers

But here’s the challenge:

Despite the growing need for youth development programs, many families cannot afford additional workshops or mentorship programs.

That’s why we need your help.

To expand Lit 360, we need to raise $10,000 in the next 90 days. These funds will cover workshop materials, teaching resources, technology access, guest speakers, and program expansion to reach even more young people in our community. With your support, we can keep these workshops free with the tools so youth can excel in school and in life.

Provide safe, creative spaces for exploration and growth.

Build a new generation of leaders ready to make a difference in their communities and beyond.
