<div>I come from a family of six. This war has stripped us of everything: my father was martyred, our home was reduced to rubble, and my future — once so full of promise — now hangs by a thread.

<div>Before the war, I was a university student majoring in Information Security. I lived a dignified life. I had hope, ambition, and the freedom to dream. Today, my greatest wish is not success or luxury — it’s something far more basic: a safe place to sleep, shelter from the bitter cold and scorching heat, and the chance to resume my education so I can build a future for my mother and younger siblings.

<div>Every day is a fight for survival. We face constant displacement, hunger, and fear. The famine is real. The war is relentless. And dignity — for many of us — feels like a distant memory.

<div>Recently, while trying to collect food from American aid convoys — which many here bitterly call “the aid of humiliation” — my younger brother was shot in the hand. He was targeted while simply trying to bring food home. To receive any aid, we often walk 7 kilometers under dangerous conditions. And when we’re lucky enough to return with something, it’s not uncommon for desperate individuals or armed thieves to steal what little we have.

<div>On top of that, the cost of basic food is rising to impossible levels, even though no income is coming in and salaries have stopped. Here is what we’re facing in Gaza:

<div>في أحد الأيام، أثناء محاولتنا الحصول على طعام من شاحنات المساعدات الأمريكية — التي أصبحنا نعرفها بـ”مساعدات الإذلال” — أُصيب أخي الصغير بطلق ناري في يده. أطلقوا عليه النار فقط لأنه كان يحاول أن يجلب لنا طعامًا. ولكي نحصل على هذه المساعدات، نضطر أحيانًا إلى السير لمسافة 7 كيلومترات، وإن كنا محظوظين بالحصول على شيء، غالبًا ما تتم سرقته منّا من قبل لصوص أو أشخاص يائسين قبل أن نصل إلى البيت.
