Support Milo's fight against cancer

I started my life with Milo in May 2020. I adopted from group named Repuplic Rescue based out of West Hollywood. It was truly love at first sight. I was invited to come meet with his amazing foster family on May 24th at 3pm. I met with them all for a little bit and aquatinted myself with this beautiful half pit half lab angel. I was able to take him on a walk around Plummer Park and I knew that I wanted this shy and playful bundle of joy in my life. I quickly prepared to be his father and signed the adoption papers shortly after.
Just like many others this year has been really tough on me personally. Milo truly was my guardian angel throughout it. I can say with fully confidence that I owe Milo my life. Not only has he been my day in-day out companion but he has emotionally supported me through out a year that has probably been the hardest year in my life outside of the year that I got sober. There were many days that my depression and anxiety had me in a deep hole where the only thing that pulled me out of it was knowing that I needed to feed, walk and play with Milo and so I did just that.
Milo was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor that has put the right side of his heart into heart failure. His tumor is inoperable but we thankfully do have options that will allow him to continue living a happy and healthy life. My main goal is rid him of the pain and discomfort he is feeling. So far, we have had to get over 2 Liters of fluids removed from his abdomen that are a result of the tumor. That combined with getting him the required tests and medications has brought the bill to a little bit over $2,500. I am working with his doctors to fully plan out the battle ahead but what it is looking like is putting a stint into his heart so that it can continue working while we give him a radiation treatment that will consist of 20 rounds of radiation. The radiation treatment he will be receiving is about $10,000 plus the cost of the stint that he needs. All of the funds will go to aiding me with these medical fees. Milo and I have already started embarking on his journey to remission so getting donations as soon as possible would be so appreciated.
Milo has brought so much joy and happiness into my life and many other. Milo has truly saved my life and I am willing to do whatever I can to help him live the longest happiest life that he can. He is a fighter and I know he can get through this. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and kind messages from so many already and I am so grateful for all of you taking the time to read our story, send positive thoughts and donate. Anything you can do helps.
