<div>Greetings, Friends and Family, Mikel Mwalimu-Banks here..... As some of you may know, and for those who don't..... I have been dealing with a serious progressive condition called FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy). It is a rare genetic disease that slowly weakens arm, shoulder, and leg muscles and has been steadily destroying my mobility. I am not able to walk more than a few feet unassisted.... and so many other functions I once took for granted have been severely affected. As many of you have witnessed, I am traveling by wheelchair. All this has shaken the core of my self-faith and my self-worth. This has also really affected my finances in the worst ways possible. <strong>I have been aware that the number one way to go bankrupt in America was to become sick..... Now it has become first-hand experience!</strong> My wife has carried the lion's share of the financial weight as best she could, but without our combined income, we are not able to survive! <strong>I am in real need of your help, grace, and generosity!!!</strong> We are at risk of losing everything we have struggled for and built together before my illness took over!
