Update: Mike gained his wings early yesterday morning. He is suffering no more. The funds from this will go to Mom to help her in the coming days. Please continue to keep her and the family in your prayers. He requested not to have a formal service and wished to be cremated. Mom is honoring his wishes and she went today and picked out the urn. Life is short. Live, love, and laugh often. Thank you all.

As many of you know, my step father, Mike Guthrie (most know him as Gear Jammer), has been battling cancer for a while now. He had an extensive surgery to remove his bladder which was the primary source of the cancer. However, the surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation caused many side effects and deterioration in his body. His weight loss has been significant and the past 2 weeks have revealed that he is physically, mentally, and emotionally tired. The Lord does everything on his time but Hospice was called in today. Mom is caring for him at home. He is too weak to even sit up now and has not eaten in a couple of days. He has been out of work for about a year doing the cancer treatments and surgeries. He and Mom have lived off of their savings and what little they draw in social security (both are over 65 now). He was a truck driver and heavy equipment operator all of his life. I am doing this fundraiser to help with expenses in his final days in order to take some stress off mom and him. If you can not donate, just please say a prayer for him and my mom.
