Miguel is 17 and Connor is 16, both remarkable cyclists from New Orleans who have found their passion and purpose on two wheels. As the only kids in our area racing competitively, they stand out not just for their talent, but for their extraordinary discipline and commitment. Training 12 to 25 hours a week, they have sacrificed much of what it means to be a 'normal' teenager, choosing instead to chase the thrill of the outdoors, the camaraderie of the cycling community, and the dream of becoming professional cyclists.

 Over the past couple of years, I have done everything I can to support their journey—covering the costs of training, races, and travel. Now, Miguel and Connor have an incredible opportunity ahead: a high-level cycling camp in Belgium, which could be a pivotal step in their development. The camp alone is a significant expense, and the upcoming race season brings even more financial challenges, with 50+ races on the calendar, many requiring travel out of state. The costs for race entries, lodging, equipment, and logistics add up quickly, and it has become clear that we can’t do this alone.
