<div>We are students from California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB), seeking support for our cherished professor, Michelle Long. Michelle has been teaching part-time at CSUMB for the past 14 years, where many of us have benefited from her Health Psychology classes. With her dedication and kindness, she has positively impacted countless students.

<div>Michelle is a long-time Monterey Peninsula resident who grew up in Michigan. Prior to joining our community, she spent over a decade serving in public health roles in Hawaii, working with various non-profits and the Department of Health. She is a volunteer at Shoreline Christian Church in Monterey and a kind and thoughtful neighbor and friend.

<div><strong>Medical Crisis:</strong>

<div>Recently, Michelle was diagnosed with a brain tumor and is scheduled to undergo surgery at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco on June 4, 2025. Following the procedure, she is expected to lose her sense of smell and taste. This unexpected diagnosis has brought physical, emotional, and financial challenges for Michelle, who has supported and inspired so many of us throughout the years.
