My name is Michelle, and I’m a mother of two adult children, a partner for 19 years, and a motorsports enthusiast. I’ve spent years supporting my partner’s Hornet racing, demolition derby, tuff trucks, and rollover events, and I’m proud to be a Longest Jump champion myself. When I’m not at the track, I love reading and crocheting. Life took a sudden turn when I was diagnosed with Papillary Thyroid Cancer BRAF V600E positive, a fast-growing and aggressive form of cancer. Since June, I’ve been unemployed, and my search for work has been challenging. Most employers aren’t able to hire someone who will need major surgery, ongoing treatment, and may have to call out due to symptoms like massive fatigue, pain, and chronic dizziness.

 This diagnosis has made it impossible to keep up with basic expenses. I’m struggling to cover rent, utilities, gas for doctor’s appointments, and food. The support I’m seeking is ongoing, as my treatment and recovery will take time. My biggest hope is to get back in the driver’s seat, represent lady drivers, and raise awareness for thyroid cancer. I want to watch my children get married, start families, and take my dog for long walks again. Your help will allow me to focus on beating cancer, rather than worrying about next month’s bills.
