<li>As a local business owner and friend of Michele Kamayi , who is owner and chef of Sallies Bistro in Dunedin Florida I’m asking for support for her children and medical bills in this unexpected emergency. This fundraiser supports Michele who is a recently single mother of two incredible children, a teenage daughter and a young son. Since moving to the US and becoming part of the amazing Dunedin community, her family has been overwhelmed by the warmth and support they have received . They cherish every friend and patron who has become a part of their extended family. Life took an unexpected turn for Michele this past week. She had to undergo emergency surgery-a touch -and-go moment that has left everyone shaken . There were multiple complications and Michele now faces a long recovery of at least six weeks. This comes after struggling for months , navigating life as a single Mother overnight while carrying the complete and sole responsibility of running the restaurant. As much as it breaks her heart , she won’t be able to open the restaurant during this time . Her focus must now be on healing. This leaves her family in a desperate financial bind. On top of that she is now facing a mountain of medical bills. As the sole breadwinner , Michele is devastated by this blow . She is terrified of loosing the roof over her families heads and the stress it puts on her children, who are already greatly affected by recent life change. The kindness and generosity of the Dunedin community have been a source of strength to them. We humbly ask for your help to get them through this crisis . Your donations will keep a roof over their heads while she cannot do it! Every dollar brings Michele and her children closer to stability .
