Support Michele’s fight against Pancreatic cancer!
Donation protected
To Friends, Family and Kind Strangers,
As some of you may know, in September of 2023, Michele was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Despite this diagnosis, Michele has been positive and determined to fight until she beats this. She has completed six chemotherapy treatments and was given the news that she was in the small percentage of people who were candidates for surgery.
In early March, Michele had surgery to remove the tumor, which included half her pancreas and her whole spleen. This was a major surgery. After the surgery and a week in the hospital, she is now home recovering. Michele has a long way to go as she is experiencing normal complications from the surgery.
Up until the day of her surgery, Michele continued to work for a non-profit in our community. When she isn't working, Michele loves camping and spending time with family, especially her grandsons. She also volunteers at our local soup kitchen, her church food bank, and the Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue that is near and dear to her heart. Even during the hardest time of her life, she thinks of how to help others.
While Michele and our family feel blessed by the care she has received, Michele also has the burden of medical bills, not including the continued treatment she has yet received.
Any support is appreciated, and if you are unable to donate at this time, please share Michele's story so that we can reach as many people as possible.
You are a fighter Aunt Michele and we love you so much!
