<div>I’ve always been someone who works hard, shows up, and handles things on my own. That’s who I’ve been my entire life. Being diagnosed with ALS changed that reality, and asking for help has been one of the most difficult lessons I’ve had to learn.
</div>

<div>ALS is unpredictable and progressive. While there is still no cure, there are treatments, clinical trials, and supportive care that help preserve independence and quality of life for as long as possible. I’m grateful to be participating in a clinical trial and remain hopeful—not only for myself, but for everyone living with this disease.
</div>

</div>
<div>Today, my mobility looks different than it did when I first shared my story. I use my walker for short distances, and for longer outings I rely on either my power wheelchair or my wife pushing me in my manual wheelchair. My speech can also vary from day to day. Even so, I continue to look for the blessings in each day and make the most of the abilities I still have.
</div>

<div>One thing ALS has given me that I never expected is a much deeper faith. Through every challenge, God has given me a peace and strength that I can’t fully explain. He has also worked through the incredible kindness, prayers, encouragement, and generosity of so many people. My family and I are profoundly grateful.
</div>

<div>The reality is that many of the expenses that come with ALS aren’t covered by insurance. Mobility equipment, home modifications, therapies, and the needs that continue to arise all add up quickly.
</div>

</div>
<div>This fundraiser helps ease that financial burden so my family and I can focus less on the cost of this disease and more on living each day as fully as possible.
</div>
