<div>Michael just recently retied from E-DeKALB911 because of his many medical issues which include: Afib, glaucoma (which led to stints in eyes), diabetic, neuropathy, he wears boot due to missing toe and lastly, a heart blockage which necessitated a quadruple bypass surgery.

<div>Michal spent 1 day in the Fort Payne, AL

<div>hospital, then transferred to Erlanger by ambulance for the quadruple bypass surgery.
</div>

<div>His hospital stay involves 6 days in the ICU unit followed by 5 to 7 days in a regular room, then 21 days of rehab in Collinsville, AL rehab center.

<div>Michael is married to Kim and they are raising their 13 year old special needs grandchild.
</div>

</div>
<div>The ambulance bill alone is staggering…
</div>
<div>plus the hospital stay, and then the rehab care (which is very costly).
</div>
<div>They do have insurance but it is not near enough.
</div>
