Support Mercy Search K9s' Medical Needs
Tax deductible
We at Mercy Search and Rescue are a registered 501c3 nonprofit charity specializing in bringing home the missing. We train and utilize our K9s to track both living individuals, and also locate the missing deceased. Our K9s specialize in underwater locations/recoveries, and have assisted in bringing home many.
We are currently facing many medical needs, as the K9s have picked up some issues from recent searches:
*Severe allergies (heat and humidity)
*Bacterial infections from running through swamps
*Hookworms (from digging the ground to pick up scent)
We are not government funded, nor do we receive any types of grants. Donations have been at an all time low, and we are about out of our own money to provide the needed medications.
Our Dogs and handlers provide answers/closure for families, and law enforcement agencies including Sheriff’s Offices, Police departments, Wildlife & Fisheries, and the Coastguard here in Louisiana and occasionally out of state.
We have a total of 14 K9s that are needing treatment as hookworms and infections spread. The issues have been caught early and the prognosis is good. We just need assistance getting the dogs taken care of so that we are further able to continue our mission of love and bring as many people home as possible. Every dime counts.
We cannot do what we do without the public’s assistance, and many times we are the last line of hope for a missing person's family.
Our K9s and handlers alike are proven, accurate, and dedicated. Please consider assisting us, we pray that you never have to make the call for help, but in those times we are here.
