Support Mental Health Recovery for a Brighter Future

Donation protected
In 2024, an estimated 57.8 million adults suffer from a mental disorder. However, roughly 43% of those people received mental health care, and almost 6 in 10 people with mental illness don't get treatment or medication. With suicide being the leading cause of death in the United States, especially for people ages 10–24.

I, like millions of people, find myself battling an invisible but very real mental illness, Depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. This past year has been a challenge as circumstances push me to survive on my own. I went from having a more rounded support system economically, mentally, and emotionally. People often can’t understand what it is to be living with mental illnesses as it’s often overlooked by many and mistaken for flaws. Having the proper care and support is fundamental for success and simple survival. There are several factors that have influenced where I am right now, struggling to be okay. I lost my job a few months ago and as a consequence, I wasn’t able to renew my health insurance causing me to stop my medication cold turkey. Withdrawals came shortly after making the simple task to be alive nearly impossible. I have had health issues and dental issues that were detrimental which caused me to be unable to continue my journey for a new job. As if that wasn’t enough, my puppy suffered from an allergic reaction to a wasp sting, needing emergency care. He has been a blessing in my life bringing me joy and a reason to keep fighting. But with all this came the piles of bills that I haven’t been able to pay as well as my rent. This isn’t easy for me to do but I see no light at the end of the tunnel.
I will be using donations to be able to pay rent and my electricity that’s due for disconnection again also to pay medical expenses and if there’s any left to seek out counseling. Your support can make a real difference in providing resources, counseling, and support. Every donation, no matter the size, brings me one step closer to making a positive change.

No one should suffer in silence.
