For individuals living with dementia or Alzheimer’s, a familiar melody from the 1950s, 60s, 70s, or 80s can "reawaken" memories that seemed lost, providing a "slice of heaven" in an otherwise challenging journey. MMAC’s Inspired By Music Memory Cafe offers a safe, stigma-free environment where participants and their caregivers can enjoy live professional performances, share a meal, and find a community that truly understands.
This sponsorship appeal for the Macomb Musical Arts Collective (MMAC) is designed to secure funding for its Inspired By Music Memory Café, a dementia-friendly initiative that uses music to foster joy and connection for seniors and their caregivers in Macomb County.

Help Us Reconnect Hearts Through the Transformative Power of Music
At the Macomb Musical Arts Collective (MMAC), we believe music is a universal language that dissolves boundaries. Nowhere is this more powerful than in our weekly Inspired By Music Memory Café sessions held at the Martha T. Berry Medical Care Center in Mount Clemens, Michigan.
What is the Inspired By Music Memory Café? “Exceptional Music for Exceptional People!”
The Inspired By Music Memory Cafe, spearheaded by the Macomb Musical Arts Collective (MMAC) in collaboration with Martha T. Berry Medical Care Facility and Advancing Macomb, Inc., is a weekly, community-based gathering designed to support individuals experiencing memory loss, Alzheimer’s, or dementia, along with their care partners. Located in Macomb County, MI, this initiative provides a safe, welcoming, and dementia-friendly environment where attendees can connect with others, share experiences, and enjoy live musical programming.
