Support Melodies After School: Youth Songwriting & Wellness Program

Program Overview

Melodies After School is an innovative afterschool songwriting program offered in partnership with A Time To Create, LLC, serving K–12 students in Lithonia, Decatur, and Atlanta, GA.

Through songwriting, students develop literacy, self-expression, and emotional wellness in a safe, supportive environment. By blending creative arts with social-emotional learning, the program empowers youth to build confidence, enhance communication skills, and gain tools to thrive academically and personally.

Who We Serve

This program serves approximately 50 K–12 students from economically disadvantaged neighborhoods in Lithonia, Decatur, and Atlanta. Many participants have limited access to arts education, literacy enrichment, and safe afterschool programming.

Funding Goal

We are seeking $50,000 to cover program expenses for the 2026 calendar year. Every gift, big or small, directly supports students in underserved communities and helps give them a voice through music.

How You Can Help

$20 provides journals and basic supplies for one student

$50 supports one student for a week of songwriting instruction, snacks, and enrichment activities

$100 contributes to program operations, including staff support and events for students

$250 sponsors a full semester of afterschool programming for one student
