Please Help Melly Mell’s Catering Business!

Hi, my name is Carmel Jackson, you may know me from my feature on Christine’s Kitchen, Where’s your mama at, etc. As a member of the Madison Community for over 50 years, I am asking for your help. I am proud to say that I started this business on my own and haven’t asked for help before. I am a proud, black owned business, mother of 4 and grandmother of 12, that is looking to not only stay in business but also continue to grow. And to do that, I need the help of my community.

With the support for the community, I was able to expand and transform Melly Mell’s Deli to Melly Mell’s Restaurant. During that time, my team and I offered with both a dine-in and take-out experience. Mell Melly’s was not only a deli/restaurant, but it was also a meeting place for the neighborhood and people looking for a southern, home cooked meal.

I started Melly Mell’s with very little capital and never received a business loan. I have been able to serve Madison delicious and affordable food by the means of restaurant and catering. Ultimately catering to our community is my love language and passion and I couldn’t imagine not doing it! I’ve been blessed to retain business during these trying times but I’m finding it difficult to keep up with the demand and serve the community with my current personal vehicle. 


With that, I am asking my community for help. Please help support Melly Mell’s so that I can continue providing our community with home cooked meals with a vehicle that can accommodate the demands of my business!
