<div>My name is Melissa, and I am currently in my last year of college. I am studying Finance with a minor in Management at Northwood University, and I am so close to crossing the finish line and achieving my dream of earning my degree.

<div>This journey has been anything but easy, but I have given it my all every step of the way. Right now, I am taking 6 classes (18 credits) as a full-time student while also working up to 24 hours a week at a restaurant to help support myself. Despite the heavy workload, I am proud to share that I have maintained straight A’s—something that reflects the dedication and determination I’ve poured into my education.

<div>I’ve been fortunate enough to receive $24,500 in scholarships from both private and federal sources, which I am incredibly grateful for. However, the cost of tuition, books, and fees for my last year is $25,000, and I am reaching out for support to help me cover this gap so I can graduate without being buried in financial stress.

</div>

<div>Education has always been important to me, not just for my future, but also as a way to honor the sacrifices my family has made. Coming from a hardworking, self-employed immigrant family, I was raised with the values of perseverance and determination. Every shift I work, every late night of studying, and every scholarship application I’ve completed has been driven by the goal of building a strong future for myself and being able to give back to my community one day.

<div>Mi nombre es Melissa y actualmente estoy en mi último año de universidad. Estoy estudiando Finanzas con una especialidad secundaria en Administración en Northwood University, y estoy muy cerca de llegar a la meta y cumplir mi sueño de obtener mi título.

<div>Este camino no ha sido nada fácil, pero he dado lo mejor de mí en cada paso. En este momento estoy tomando 6 clases (18 créditos) como estudiante de tiempo completo, mientras trabajo hasta 24 horas a la semana en un restaurante para poder mantenerme. A pesar de la carga tan pesada, me enorgullece compartir que he mantenido calificaciones de excelencia (puras A’s), lo cual refleja la dedicación y determinación que he puesto en mi educación.

<div>La educación siempre ha sido importante para mí, no solo por mi futuro, sino también como una manera de honrar los sacrificios que ha hecho mi familia. Viniendo de una familia inmigrante trabajadora y emprendedora, crecí con los valores de perseverancia y determinación. Cada turno de trabajo, cada desvelo estudiando y cada solicitud de beca que he llenado han sido impulsados por el objetivo de construir un futuro sólido para mí y poder algún día regresar ese apoyo a mi comunidad.
