Our dear friend Melissa recently faced an unimaginable loss — her mother passed away unexpectedly, just a few weeks after Melissa moved from North Carolina to Los Angeles to start a new chapter in her life.

Melissa is now navigating deep grief while also trying to manage the practical and financial challenges that come with losing a parent so suddenly. She’s currently between jobs and facing immediate expenses, including rent, car payments, and the costs of final arrangements for her mother’s cremation. In addition, she will need to hire an estate lawyer to help handle her mother’s affairs and plans to seek counseling as she works through this devastating time.

We’re raising funds to help Melissa cover these urgent needs and give her a bit of stability while she begins to heal. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference and help lift some of the weight she’s carrying right now.
