Support Mel Carter's Pancreatic Cancer Fight

Dear family & friends of Melody (Mel) Carter,
This GoFundMe effort is being set up by Chris Lawrence, Madeline Garrett and several of Mel Carter’s many friends.
Mel is the kindest, most thoughtful and giving person you will ever meet. She always focuses on supporting her family and friends. Anyone who is lucky enough to be one of her friends, knows that Mel always makes them feel like they are her “best friend”. Mel treats every individual as though they are her one and only “best friend” all the time. She is the rock of her family always putting them before herself.
If anyone needs some “best friends” now, it is Mel herself! Over this past summer, Mel was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This has been a significant shock to her entire family and friends! Everyone has united to support Mel, her husband Arthur and their two sons and four grandchildren.
This past week (treatment week 14) has been especially challenging as the results from Mel’s most recent body scan (following chemotherapy) were mixed. Despite this news, Mel and her family remain strong and positive as they persist with tremendous resilience to focus on beating the cancer and getting well soon.
While Mel’s family continues to demonstrate fortitude and perseverance, the financial costs associated with Mel’s illness are becoming extremely burdensome. Mel has been out of work on disability for over 4 months now and unfortunately, during this difficult time, her husband Arthur is also not working while caring for Mel.
Many friends, family and work colleagues have asked what they can do to support Mel and her family. As such, we have set up a GoFundMe Account with all donations going to Mel and her family to cover rising medical expenses and care for her family. Today we ask that you please consider giving a donation. All donations, no matter how small, are greatly appreciated!
