Hi, friends and family! My name is MeKayla, and I’m a junior at South Carolina State University, studying Speech Pathology and Audiology. I’m set to graduate in May 2026, and one of my biggest dreams has always been to travel and experience different cultures.

I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been given an amazing opportunity to study abroad in South Africa for 10 days this summer! Not only is South Africa a dream destination for me, but this trip will also allow me to earn a class credit that goes toward my graduation. This experience will expose me to new cultures, perspectives, and opportunities that will shape both my personal growth and future career.
