Despite being shot multiple times, Megan survived and has since become a passionate advocate for domestic violence awareness.

Now residing in Dallas, Texas, Megan and her husband are eager to start a family together. However, due to the extent of her injuries, natural conception presents significant challenges. The couple is exploring both in vitro fertilization (IVF) and adoption as paths to parenthood.

<div>The financial burden of IVF treatments and adoption processes is substantial, especially considering Megan's ongoing medical expenses. In Texas, the average cost of a single IVF cycle ranges from $12,000 to $15,000, excluding medications, which can add an additional $4,000 to $6,000 per cycle. Given that multiple cycles are often necessary, these costs can quickly escalate.
