Support Medical Outreach in Guatemala 2025

I have reached my donation goal (the amount needed to attend the internship). However, I am still responsible for transportation to and from Guatemala. Any additional donations would go towards my flight (which costs around $1,200), additional medical supplies I will be donating to Guatemala, additional gifts to my host family, and meals.

I’m beyond excited to share that I’ve been allowed to join VAW Global Health Alliances on a medical outreach trip to Lake Atitlán, Sololá, Guatemala, in March 2025! I will complete this internship before starting my nursing career in May 2025. This medical internship will help establish primary care clinics in underserved communities and bring sustainable healthcare to them.

While there, I’ll be involved in:

- Patient intake & vitals

- Shadowing local physicians

- Distributing medications

- Teaching public health lessons to local children

I am so excited to immerse myself in the culture and beauty of San Pedro La Laguna while staying with a host family!
