Hi! My name is Refugio, I'm a Mexican hip hop artist (but not like, Mexican-hip hop, more like a hip hop artist who is Mexican. ANYWAYS)

To give a little backstory on myself, I'd probably describe myself as being dangerously obsessed with music, I live and breathe it. I was the biggest 90's hip hop nerd in middle school, just spending hours on hours on Youtube and rap forums just learning constantly. I've been writing since the same age, and through everything, it was always the thing that's kept me going. I've always used it as the way I express myself, personal or frustrations of the outside world. I strive to represent people who are like me and never had a voice to look to in any media, there isn't much queer representation in the latine community (for obvious reasons) and let alone in hip hop. I want to be the reason that changes.

So why should you care and support me financially? Well idk, you don't need to, but it'd make trying to make this the only thing i have to worry about a lot easier. I dream, literally dream, of a day that I don't have to worry about how I'm going to pay my bills, or how to deal with shit like some random person slashing my convertible top - and just worry about trying to bring new perspectives, stories and truth to whatever pocket of the world would care. I personally feel great about where I'm trying to take my creative direction, but it's hard, and expensive!

I feel weird asking for support when I know there's a million and 3 other things you could put your money towards, but if you feel like supporting what i do, know that I'm truly trying to give something that means something to the world. This would help me with studio sessions, music videos, other projects in relation to the album and other related things.

I don't know what to expect! But if you feel like giving, I can't tell you how much that means to me. Literally anything helps, I just want to be able to do the things i want to do musically and not have to worry about working dozens of extra hours a month to make up for it.
