<div>Our names are Jackie, Jenny, and Lauren, and we are the aunts of precious Mckenna Marie Wheeler. McKenna came into all of our lives on April 24, 2025. She made her parents, David and Mary Claire the happiest people around with her playful and loving smiles.

</div>

<div>Several weeks ago McKenna went to a doctor's appointment for her distended belly and yellow eyes. She was sent to the ER and then transferred between several hospitals until she was diagnosed with biliary atresia. Biliary atresia is a rare liver disease that impacts the bile ducts.The family received the news that McKenna will need a liver transplant in the upcoming months.

<div>Despite the hospital stay filled with IVs, medications, scans, etc., McKenna remains a happy baby and continues to light up a room. She is a strong fighter who will get through anything. 

</div>

<div>That being said, her parents, David and Mary Claire, face numerous upcoming challenges. The emotional toll has already been immense and will continue to bring ups and downs, but they also will experience financial difficulties.  They have been by McKenna’s side every second she has spent in the hospital and continue to spend all of their time with her.  In addition to time, they will have numerous medical bills on this long road to recovery, including surgeries, medications, and general living expenses.
