Support Mazey Lynn's Fight Against Wilms Tumor

January 10th 2025 our sweet Mazey was rushed to St. Luke’s with a suppressed lung and a mass on her right lung. Once she arrived they sedated her and placed her on a ventilator to stabilize her oxygen levels they also placed tubes in her chest to drain the fluid. On the 15th Mazey had surgery where they removed the tumor and top two chambers of her right lung. During the surgery they discovered the tumor had ruptured and spread cancer cells all over her chest cavity. Despite having such an extensive procedure Mazey did well, this tumor was the same cancer that she had before on her right kidney, and her oncologist recommended 4-6 months of chemotherapy because of the rupture. She had another procedure on the 21st to place her broviack line for the chemotherapy. In the last couple days Mazey has opened her eyes and has been able to focus on people, she has been able to hold and shake her rattle, she has had two drain tubes removed, and today they were able to remove her ventilator! Once they are discharged from the hospital they will be traveling back to St. Luke’s weekly for port cleaning and care and every three weeks for chemotherapy. This little girl is one of the strongest fighters we have ever met, even at just 9 months old! She has a long road ahead but we have so much faith in our sweet girl, thank you all so much for your continued prayers and support, it truly does not go unnoticed.

On July 16th 2024 our sweet Mazey Lynn was diagnosed with Nephroblastoma otherwise known as Wilms Tumor. She has a 10cm solid mass attached to one of her kidneys that is taking up over half of her abdomen. Mazey is scheduled to undergo a 7-8 hour surgery Monday morning followed by 5 months of chemotherapy. The first two months of chemotherapy will be once a week in Boise, this is about a 3 hour drive one way for Hailee and Morgan. Mazey has a long road ahead of her but she has so many people behind her with nothing but love and support!
