Please Help Maverick – Our Sweet Cat’s Road to Recovery

Maverick is our sweet, playful, and incredibly smart 3-year-old tabby. He comes when we call, follows us around like a little shadow, and fills our home with so much love and joy.

Tragically, sometime between Thursday morning and Friday night, Maverick was hit by a car. When we were out looking for him, he still found the strength to meow back to us so we could find him. We discovered him waiting on a neighbor’s porch with a broken jaw and a prolapsed eye. Even with all of that, Maverick continues to greet everyone at the vet, and us, with purrs and by making muffins on his blanket. His resilience and loving spirit makes it very difficult to give up on him. He didn’t ask for this.

Right now, Maverick needs multiple surgeries, a feeding tube, and ongoing care to heal. We’ve already covered emergency treatments, but the costs ahead are more than we can manage on our own.

We are doing everything we can to make sure Maverick gets the chance to recover and continue being the happy, affectionate cat we love so much. Any donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his medical care and recovery.
