He was treated at two hospitals and had to be life flighted to a Level 1 Trauma Center. As a self-employed carpenter and musician, he relied on his hands for both of his careers. Without insurance, the financial burden of medical bills and the sudden loss of income has been overwhelming. These injuries don’t just affect his ability to work—they deeply impact his ability to provide for and care for his son. The road to recovery will be long and challenging, and Matthew’s life has been forever changed.
