<div>Hi All, I am the mother of Merideth Owenby; on 5/20/2025 Merideth and David (husband) welcomed a beautiful baby boy - Matthew Alan - under some very complicated and emergency situations. To say that we are thankful to have both of them here with us today is a realistic statement. It was very real that we would have lost one or both that evening.

<div>Merideth and Matthew both ended up in ICU. Merideth and Matthew were then transferred to a higher level of care at a different hospital here in Boise. Merideth level of care decreased gradually and was finally discharged after 4 days. Matthew however continued to struggle to breathe and ended up having a hole in his lung. Treatment is oxygen therapy and waiting. Merideth is recovering from C-Section however is unable to leave the house as Matthew needs continuous care and 24 supervision of the oxygen intake, pulse and oxygen saturation levels. At first it was only expected a few days but now they are going on 2 weeks with the pediatrician expecting much more time. They will start meeting with specialist very soon but in the meantime, Merideth is not working, health insurance will run out by 7/1/2025 (they have applied for in state medicaid), and the needs continue to grow.

<div>They are now home but with lots of medical equipment, medical bills to the extreme and David unable to work for the week set back their finances.

<div>As Merideth's mom I am asking for your support to cover some medical bills, rental of the Pulse Oxygen Concentrator, Gas money to get back and forth to Boise for medical appointments, medical item such as the stickers to hold the oxygen tubes on his face, and adapting their home to make it safer for Matthew.

<div>This family is a young family just starting out. Both have served their country in the US Army, with a deployment oversees to support foreign allies 2022-2023. These kids keep getting hit with grenades and along it all have stayed supportive  to each other and have made the best of all situations.
